We are looking for an experienced editor capable of handling a large volume of work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented setting. Our writing team prepares articles for our family of websites and for relevant websites in the construction industry.
Our audience is primarily commercial construction professionals in North America.
You need to have a high level of English fluency and be proficient in writing in plain language. Our audience responds to concise and direct language written in active voice. The goal is to acquire leads and drive sales.
We are very quality oriented and require our writers to product content that speaks to our customers pain points by explaining how our products solve their problems.
Your job is to ensure the quality and professionalism of every piece of content we publish. This involves teaching writers how to write according to our established processes, proofreading and editing submitted work, rewriting where necessary, and providing actionable feedback to help our writers continuously improve.
Our Standards
– We have zero tolerance for plagiarism.
– All article topics must be thoroughly researched.
– Only credible sources may be used to produce original content.
– Internal and external links are required in every article.
– Articles must be written according to established processes incorporation SEO best practices.
Your Role
You will need to read each article in its entirety and ensure that it contains:
– An optimized title that incorporates keywords and gets a high rating of 80% or higher using Headline Analyzer
– A strong introduction that gets straight to the point while hooking the reader
– A clear outline of key benefits
– Compelling reasoning that addresses our customer’s pain points and convinces them that we offer the right solution.
– A conclusion that contains a clear call to action (CTA) and motivates the reader to act.
– Keywords recommended for SEO
Tools You Will Use:
– Grammarly Premium: To proofread for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
– Scorecard: To provide meaningful feedback to our writers
– Quetext: To do high level checks for plagiarism.
– Trello: To receive assignments, give feedback, and to notify of approvals.
– Teams: For daily interactions with management and the team of writers
– Time Doctor: To keep track of your time.
Requirements
– Professional writing experience (Two year minimum)
– Editing/proofreading experience (One year minimum)
– High level English language skills (Written and verbal)
– Stable internet connection (with back-up data)
– Stable power (with back-up power source)
– Windows desktop or laptop (XXX requirements)
– A quiet workplace with no interruptions or distractions
– Webcam and microphone for weekly meetings
Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, from 2 pm to 11 pm (Manila time)
This is a full-time job; you cannot work for other clients during your shift. No side gigs during your working hours.
