Job Description

Hello! I own a growing SEO marketing agency and am looking for an Experienced Editor with excellent English skills to help me proofread, review, and improve website articles and other writing projects.

Day-to-day tasks will involve closely reviewing content produced by team writers so that it flows well, meets client brand guidelines, and is free from errors.

I primarily use Slack, Loom videos, and email to communicate.

The pay rate is $6/hr to start for up to 20 hours a week with the possibility to quickly turn into a full-time position for the right person. If you have additional skills (such as SEO knowledge), the starting pay rate can be higher.

Please note that your English must be native level to qualify for this position.

You must be able to meet tight deadlines and deliver on time. Using AI to accelerate and improve your editing process is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
– Reviewing written articles for clarity, flow, style, and tone
– Ensuring all copy is error-free and easy to read
– Providing direction to writers to rewrite content where necessary
– Being able to rewrite content yourself if needed for minor revisions
– Adhering to UX and SEO best practices (which I will teach you)
– Checking sources cited in the article
– Using AI to increase output and accelerate the editing process

Requirements:
– A fast and reliable internet connection with your own computer
– Ability to use AI as a tool but NOT rely on it for final output
– Quick turnaround time (I need 40-60 articles reviewed a month)
– Include the word dragonfly in your first message to me
– Excellent written communication skills in English (C2 Mastery)
– Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets
– Ability to communicate with me via Slack and email
– The ability to proofread and edit documents
– Attention to detail (very important!)
– The ability to meet deadlines and adhere to project management processes

Software Knowledge

Nice to Have Skills:

– Prior experience with SEO
– WordPress page building (especially with Elementor)
– Funnel building (ClickFunnels, ThriveCart, or High Level)
– Graphic design skills (for things like logos, presentations, and blog post graphics)
– Video Editing
– Email marketing (copy and/or automations)
– Automations (such as email, funnels, etc)
– Data Analytics (primarily Google Search Console and Google Analytics)
– Facebook Ads (setting them up and optimizing them for best performance)
– Using AI to write, edit, and improve your outpout

Skills:
– Highly organized
– Dependable and responsive
– Proactive (you can get the job done without needing me to remind you)
– Detail-oriented
– Able to work independently with minimal supervision
– Not afraid to ask questions

Pay Rate: $6/hr to start for up to 20 hours a week with salary review after 90 days. I process payments twice a month.
