Job Description

I’m looking for an experienced grant writer for a full-time position with my remote business. I need a go-getter who is ambitious, energetic, and curious.

I own several websites that provide information on business grants to Canadian entrepreneurs. Specifically, I own the following two websites that focus on two regions of Canada:

And this month I will be launching a Canada-wide business grants website.

I also have two proprietary directories: (1) a directory of business grant programs provided by various funding organizations (the Canadian federal and provincial governments, non-profits, and private sector); and (2) a directory of financial products for Canadian businesses, such as loans, credit cards, lines of credits, etc. provided by commercial banks in Canada.

My business grants websites get a significant amount of traffic and Canadian entrepreneurs contact me regularly asking for help in two areas:

(1) Finding the exact business grants that they are eligible for; and
(2) Assistance with applying for those business grants

I will be launching paid services on my websites to provide entrepreneurs with help in those two areas. Specifically, I will have these two services:

– A grants research service. The output for this service will be a PDF report describing the grant programs that the business qualifies for; and
– A grant application service. This service will complete grant applications for businesses.

I am looking for a freelancer to perform these services and who has experience in both areas, i.e. (a) researching grant programs, and (b) completing grant applications.

Note: experience with *business* grants in particular is not necessary. More important is experience with the grant research and application process, whether it be for non-profits, businesses, or other types of organizations.

This will be a full-time position. You will spend all of your time doing the following tasks:

1) Searching my databases to find programs that businesses qualify for, and creating a report with a summary of those programs.

2) Assisting businesses in the grant application process, including completing application forms, gathering the required documents from businesses for the grant application submission, etc.

Note: I have never offered these types of services before, so I will also rely on you to provide advice on setting up the workflow for the services and making them efficient.
