Experienced PHP/WordPress experienced Developer

We are a growing company operating several WooCommerce sites.

Role Overview:

We’re seeking a skilled PHP/WordPress Developer with at least 4 years of experience in PHP and WordPress, and strong WooCommerce experience, to join our remote team. The successful candidate will work via a remote desktop, with performance and progress closely monitored by our in-house expert.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop, test, and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes.
– Write secure, efficient PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
– Manage and customize eCommerce solutions using WooCommerce.
– Conduct comprehensive debugging of code, identify, diagnose, and fix bugs efficiently.
– Monitor website performance metrics and optimize for speed and scalability.
– Ensure the website is optimized for SEO, adhering to best practices for web standards and accessibility.
– Work with cross-functional teams, translating their needs into technical requirements.
– Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code.

Requirements:

– Minimum of 4 years experience as a PHP Developer.
– Minimum of 4 years experience with WordPress and WooCommerce, including plugin development.
– Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript.
– Experience with website monitoring and analytics tools.
– Strong knowledge of website optimization, SEO principles, and cross-browser compatibility issues.
– Knowledge of data management, including data transfer and synchronization between different systems.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Comfortable working remotely and being monitored via remote desktop.
– Able to complete test tasks during the interview process without using external assistance or resources such as copy-pasting or AI tools.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field is preferred.
