Experienced SEO Assistant – Role Description

We are looking for an experienced SEO assistant to join our growing agency. This role will be a fixed position for a contractor/freelancer. The work will be regular and predictable.

We currently manage the website / SEO / organic marketing for companies in the following verticals:
IT Support (B2B)
Cyber Security (B2B)
Cleaning Products (e-comm)
Home / Car Security (e-comm + B2B)
Motion Capture Technology (SaaS)
Bookkeeping Services (B2B)
Website Marketing (B2B)
Branding Agency (B2B)
University (B2C – Lead Gen)
Rope (e-comm)
Dog Training (Content)

The scope for each client / website ranges from full management, strategy and content creation, to basic on-site optimisation.
We carry out linkbuilding for some clients, but not all.

— The Role —

We are looking for a reliable, strategic, organised SEO professional to join our team.
The main function of this role is to carry out monthly analysis of our sites.
This includes:
Interpreting results from Ahrefs monthly health crawl
Indexation improvements
Internal linking recommendations
Optimisation of existing pages
Optimisation of new pages ahead of launch
Interpreting GSC data for new page recommendations + page updates
Ad-hoc investigations based on client requests
This will all lead to the creation of a monthly report which gives a snapshot of progress, but also a list of actions to be carried out over the coming month.

— The Ideal Candidate —

The ideal candidate is an experienced, competent SEO professional. You will have demonstrable experience creating and implementing SEO strategies for a range of clients.
Our processes are heavily focused on hitting deadlines, so you will be very organised and reliable.
The main role will be following our processes, but we welcome advice for improving our processes – and anything that will improve results for our clients.

— Communication —

We are a fully remote business. We communicate mainly through video calls or Loom Videos.
There is no requirement that you work in our timezone (UK), but it would be ideal if you can be available for occasional calls.
