**Key Responsibilities**

A social media manager plays a crucial role in developing and executing a brand’s social media strategy. Your responsibilities include:

– Strategy Development: Creating a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the company’s goals and target audience.
– Content Creation: Developing engaging content (text, image, video) that resonates with the audience and is tailored for each platform.
– Posting and Scheduling: Managing the social media content calendar, scheduling posts at optimal times, and ensuring consistency in posting.
– Community Engagement: Interacting with the audience, responding to comments, messages, and mentions, fostering a sense of community around the brand.
– Analytics and Reporting: Monitoring and analyzing social media metrics to track performance, evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, and make data-driven decisions.
– Campaign Management: Planning and executing paid social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and optimization.
– Stay Updated: Keeping up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to implement innovative strategies.
– Collaboration: Working closely with marketing, PR, and other teams to ensure social media efforts align with broader marketing initiatives.
– Brand Voice Maintenance: Maintaining a consistent brand voice and image across all social media channels.
– Crisis Management: Being prepared to handle any issues or crises that may arise on social media, addressing them promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

Education:
– Bachelor’s Degree: Often in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. While a degree can be beneficial, relevant experience and skills often carry significant weight.

Skills:
– Social Media Expertise: A deep understanding of various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and their best practices.
– People management skills: Preferably someone who works well with others and knows how to give direction and leads his/her team members well.
– Content Creation: Proficiency in creating engaging content (text, images, videos) tailored for different platforms and demographics.
– Analytics and Insights: Ability to analyze social media metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, or native platform analytics to drive strategy and improvements.
– Community Management: Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with the audience, fostering relationships, and managing online communities.
– Creativity and Adaptability: The capability to generate innovative ideas, stay updated with trends, and adapt strategies to evolving algorithms and user behaviors.
– Copywriting and Communication: Excellent writing skills to craft compelling and concise copy for social media posts, ads, and interactions.
– Paid Advertising: Understanding of social media advertising platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, etc.) and experience in running successful paid campaigns.
– Graphic Design and Video Editing: Basic knowledge of design tools (like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software can be advantageous.

Experience:
– Social Media Management: Prior experience in managing social media accounts for brands or businesses, preferably in a similar industry.
– Campaign Management: Demonstrated success in planning, executing, and analyzing social media campaigns, both organic and paid.
– Analytical Skills: Experience in analyzing data to derive insights, make informed decisions, and optimize social media strategies.
