Position Description:
We are seeking a full-time Social Media Manager to join our team. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with the your assigned client’s customers through chat channels on various social media platforms. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively qualify leads, set appointments, and manage the client’s community.
Key Accountabilities of Role:
1. Interact with client’s customers through chat channels on social media platforms. Engage in conversations to understand customer needs, promote the value of our client’s products or services, and generate leads.
2. Utilise effective questioning and active listening techniques to assess the level of interest and suitability of potential leads. Determine if a lead meets the qualification criteria defined by our client and has the potential for a successful sale.
3. Set appointments for potential leads, coordinating with customers to find mutually convenient meeting times. Use persuasive communication skills to encourage leads to commit to scheduled appointments and ensure their attendance.
4. Manage and engage with the client’s community on social media platforms. Respond to customer inquiries, comments, and direct messages, fostering positive relationships and promoting the client’s brand.
5. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through chat interactions. Provide exceptional service, address customer concerns, and foster a positive rapport to enhance customer satisfaction and increase the likelihood of successful appointments.
6. Acquire comprehensive knowledge of our client’s products or services, including features, benefits, and value propositions. Effectively communicate this information to potential leads and community members to generate interest and enthusiasm.
7. Maintain accurate records of lead interactions, appointment schedules, community engagement, and outcomes. Provide regular reports on performance metrics, trends, and customer feedback. Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance lead qualification, appointment conversion rates, and community engagement.
Education and Skills Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
– At least 1 year experience in sales, customer service, appointment setting, or community management roles, preferably in a chat-based environment.
– Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information, qualify leads, engage in community interactions, and build rapport through chat channels on social media platforms.
– Strong appointment setting and persuasion skills, with a track record of successfully scheduling appointments and achieving targets.
– Familiarity with social media platforms and their chat functionalities.
– Proficiency in using productivity tools and software applications, including MS Office Suite.
– Knowledge of sales techniques, customer behaviour, and community management strategies in an online environment.
– Analytical mindset and ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights for lead qualification, appointment setting optimisation, and community engagement.
– Adaptability and willingness to learn about new products, industries, and sales strategies.
– Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple lead interactions, appointment schedules, and community engagement simultaneously.
– Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
– Prior experience in non-voice sales, chatbot technologies, or managing social media communities is a plus.
