We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to help design and build exceptional web and mobile applications.

On your first day, we’d love for you to:
– Collaborate with the product team, developers, and other stakeholders, leveraging your extensive experience to guide and influence the direction of UI/UX design for our web and mobile applications
– Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
– Assess our current design process and deliverables, identifying areas for improvement and recommending best practices to optimize workflow and collaboration within the team
– Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
– Confidently present your design vision and strategy to peers and executive-level stakeholders, drawing upon your extensive experience to address concerns and gain buy-in
– Evaluate and enhance our existing design guidelines, best practices, and standards, ensuring they align with the latest trends and technologies in the UI/UX field, and promote their adoption across the team
What are we looking for? (Basic Qualifications)
– BA/BS Degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field, and/or 5+ years of relevant practical experience
5+ years of extensive experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on web and mobile applications, demonstrating a track record of successful projects
– Expertise in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar, along with the ability to mentor and guide junior designers in their use
– In-depth understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles, as well as proficiency in addressing accessibility and usability concerns
– Strong experience with HTML, CSS, and a comprehensive knowledge of JavaScript and front-end frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
– Exceptional visual design skills with a keen eye for user-system interaction, and the ability to create innovative, impactful design solutions
– Proven creative problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and experience presenting to and influencing stakeholders at all levels
– Familiarity with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies, as well as a commitment to continuous learning and sharing of knowledge with the team
Nice to have:
– Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior designers or design teams within Agile/Scrum development processes
– A strong passion for staying current with UI/UX design trends and best practices, as well as the ability to drive their adoption within the team, including areas such as performance, accessibility, security, and usability
– Extensive experience or a strong interest in the healthcare field, with a keen understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of designing for medical applications
– A proven track record of thought leadership in the UI/UX design community, such as through conference presentations, articles, or blogs, showcasing your commitment to the advancement of the field
