Role: Experienced Video Editor
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Partially flexible – Must work from 7:00PM – 12:00AM PH time; the remaining hours can be worked at any time
Salary: $4 – $5 per hour depends on experience
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Video Editor to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality video content. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of video editing software such as, but not limited to: Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, Capcut, and others. They should also possess a creative eye and the ability to tell a compelling visual story through editing. The Video Editor will work closely with other team members, such as other video editors, the Creative Team Lead and the Company’s Admin, to bring projects to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Edit raw footage into polished videos that align with the project’s goals and vision.
2. Review and select the best shots from multiple takes to create a coherent and engaging narrative.
3. Trim, rearrange, and refine video segments to ensure seamless transitions and visual continuity.
4. Manipulate and adjust colors, lighting, audio, and visual effects to enhance the overall quality of the video.
5. Collaborate with the Creative Team Lead, and other team members to understand project objectives and requirements.
6. Receive and incorporate feedback from team members, admin and the CEO to achieve the desired final product.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new editing techniques, and software updates to continuously improve skills and processes.
8. Manage and organize video assets, maintaining a structured workflow and ensuring efficient file management inside Google Drive.
9. Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
10. Experiment with different editing styles and techniques to provide a fresh perspective on video projects.
11. Occasionally participate in pre-production planning, discussing creative concepts and providing input on how to capture footage effectively for the editing process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience in Film Production, Video Editing, or a related field
2. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, Capcut, or similar tools.
3. Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, frame rates, and resolutions.
4. Demonstrated portfolio of previous video editing work showcasing technical skills and creative storytelling abilities.
5. Familiarity with visual effects, motion graphics, and color correction techniques is a plus.
Familiar with Content Marketing.
6. Excellent English communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and understand project requirements.
7. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain quality and accuracy under tight deadlines.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in project scope or direction.
9. A creative eye for composition, pacing, and storytelling.
10. Experience with sound editing and mixing is a bonus.
11. Must have initial knowledge of Project Management tools. It is a plus if you have experience using ClickUp.
12. Must understand the Work-from-Home work ethics.
13. Knowledge of copyright and licensing regulations for audio and visual content is advantageous.
