Experienced Video Editor

We’re seeking an EXPERIENCED video editor who can do professional and engaging edits to our ongoing videos.

Must be quick, effective, and have at least two years of previous experience in video editing. You must be proficient in color grading, sound design, motion graphics, etc., and can edit several videos a week at a high level.

Here is what I’m looking for from you as an editor:
Technical Ability: you must know your stuff
Speed: this is a full-time position, so there will be several projects a week – keyboard shortcuts are a must
Communication: ask for help when you need it, clarify when you’re unclear, and take feedback seriously
Adaptability: new formats or styles shouldn’t scare you
Quick Learner: resourceful in upgrading your knowledge and skills

Here are some overall elements I will be looking for in your edits:
Engaging: keep the viewers’ attention
Intentional: you should be able to communicate your motivation for any specific edit point
Creativity: more than just “basic” edits, have fun with it
Rhythm/Pacing: not too fast, not too slow
Visuals: show in addition to telling
