Job Description

We are seeking a skilled freelance website developer to collaborate with our design team and bring our website concept to reality for a new (Montessori and STEM/STEAM) EdTech company. As our developer, you will be responsible for implementing the design provided by our designer and ensuring that the website functions smoothly across all devices and platforms, providing guidance and feedback along the way in regards to user experience (high level).

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our design team to understand the website concept and design requirements.
Translate design mockups into functional websites.
Implement responsive design principles to ensure the website is optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
Optimize website performance for speed and efficiency.
Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix any bugs or issues.
Ensure the website meets accessibility standards and best practices.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance as needed.
Bonus if you have experience on integrating third-party services and APIs as needed (e.g., payment gateways, analytics tools – not needed now but maybe in future.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a website developer, preferably with a portfolio of past projects.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with responsive design techniques and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with designers and other team members.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have:
Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, ).
Knowledge of back-end development and databases (e.g., , MongoDB).
Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
