Position Overview:We are seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that aligns with our vision and is suitable for Social Media, Marketing Campaigns and our Website. The goal is to seamlessly blend sight and sound to tell a cohesive story. Additionally, the role involves editing snippets from longer videos, necessitating a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of our brand and client needs.
Responsibilities:
Proven work experience as a Social Media Video Editor.
Long Form and Short Form Content Editing
Primarily Long Form Youtube Video Editing
Vlog Style Content
Educational Content
Creating Viral and High Quality Reels and Clips from the Long Form Content
Must be great a Choosing the right clips for our Audience (Entrepreneurs and Business Owners looking to Grow and Scale their Business)
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut).
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Additional Info:
We are on a tight timeline, aiming to launch some of these projects in June for community engagement purposes. Hence, we are seeking someone who can take charge and drive these projects forward with speed and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills.
Proficiency with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut).
Strong ability to edit raw footage and create a polished final product, including editing snippets from longer videos.
Keen attention to detail and a deep understanding of our brand and storytelling techniques.
Excellent knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with our creative team.

Using Zoom and Loom for Project Updates, Team Meetings and Alignment
Technical Requirements:
Must be able to edit S-Log footage
Must be able to colour grade (S-Log) footage at a high level
Must be able to edit and process 4k footage
Must be able to seamlessly integrate footage from IPhone, Sony cameras, DJI cameras & more
Must be able to edit long for and short form (reels/shorts)
Must be able to produce 3-4 long form (simple edit) videos per week
Must be able to produce 3-5 reels per week
Must be able to do closed captions at an industry standard
Other Requirements:
Must provide a portfolio showcasing work
Must be able to create content from our content bank
Organize and create footage from old content into new pieces
Must exhibit creativity, storytelling and quality montaging
Must be able to create unique pieces of content from the long form – not just simple cuts of what was already edited in long form
