We are currently searching for an exceptional Accountant with a knack for communication, a deep understanding of financial statements and a knack for strategic thinking. In this role, you will not just be crunching numbers but will play a pivotal role in our expansion into a new business unit. As a Controller, your journey will involve more than just keeping track of our financial records. You’ll be expected to make sense of our numbers, understand their implications, and effectively communicate these insights to our stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
-You will join an existing and well-structured team with clear processes, video instructions, and descriptions for each task, ensuring a smooth transition and integration.
-Expertly navigating through Xero, our chosen accounting software
-Deeply understanding all aspects of our financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and their intricate interactions
-Making bridges between different months and expense categories, reviewing trend lines and interpreting them
-Narrating our KPI scorecard to our shareholders and continually improving upon it based on your professional judgment
-Preparing for monthly reviews with our shareholders, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of our current status and future direction

What we’re looking for:
-Proven accounting and bookkeeping experience
-Exceptional communication skills and critical thinking abilities
-Strong expertise in using Xero
-Deep understanding of all 3 financial statements and their interactions
-A knack for numbers, a high degree of accuracy, and attention to detail
-A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
-A person who won’t have other jobs in parallel, as this role requires undivided attention
