We are seeking an expert level experienced and talented Magento 2 Developer with expertise in custom extensions, integrations, and the Hyvä theme to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Magento 2 development and a passion for creating high-quality, innovative solutions for e-commerce clients. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom extensions, front end experiences, and integrations that enhance the user experience of our online stores, marketplaces, and customer portals.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement custom and marketplace extensions and modules for Magento 2, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Work closely with the product team, marketing, and other stakeholders taking their requirements and translating them into effective e-commerce solutions.
• Create and maintain integrations with third-party services and APIs, ensuring seamless functionality and a smooth user experience.
• Utilize the Hyvä theme to create responsive, modern, and high-performance frontend solutions for Magento 2 stores.
• Collaborate with the design and development team to create a cohesive and visually appealing online presence for clients.
• Team player -Work closely with other developers, mentoring and training them where they may have little or no Magento experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing extensions and integrations, providing efficient and timely support to clients.
• Continuously enhance your knowledge of Magento 2, the Hyvä theme, and other relevant technologies to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
• Strong experience in Magento 2 development.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
• In-depth knowledge of the Hyvä theme and experience in creating responsive front-end solutions for Magento 2 stores.
• Strong understanding of Magento 2 architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
• Familiarity with API integrations and third-party services commonly used in e-commerce platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Solid english communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A commitment to staying current with industry trends and advancements in e-commerce technology.
• Stong knowledge of the Magento API framework, and the ability to do everything through the API or as code.
• Willing to work United States EST hours to be able to collaborate with the team.
Nice to haves:
• PHP Laravel / framework experience. We have a separate customer portal that is developed using Laravel and that you would also be working on.
