Im looking for someone who is very comfortable writing new PHP, HTML, CSS & Javascript code form scratch. I have about 10 years of experience in PHP development and would expect my new hire to have at least my level of skill (don’t worry, I don’t think I’m very good) in coding. So if you don’t think you are suitable please let me know as we’re will just be wasting each others time.
About 80% of the work we do will be in WordPress or Laravel creating Websites from scratch using a combination of PHP, JS, Vue, React
Skill set i require
• 6+ years working with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS & JavaScript.
• Developing well-designed, maintainable, testable and efficient code.
• Understanding of object oriented development and software patterns
• Experience with GIT, Composer & NPM
• Expertise with WordPress CMS and plugin development
• Experience with Laravel Framework
• The ability to take designs from PS/Figma through to pixel-perfect responsive web layouts
• Experience in implementation and consumption of common data formats such as JSON, XML
• Knowledge and experience with API development and integration (REST, SOAP or JSON-RPC)
Working for me I would expect you to
– Work 37-40 hours/week.
– Track your time while working. Initially via a tracking app. After trust is established we can just track billable hours on projects as opposed to all the time worked.
– Reply with “I read the 3rd point” at the top of the application
– Have Equipment and services to complete your job properly (Computer, Internet, Ect)
– I am usually in the office 7am – 5:30PM AEST. I don’t really mind what time you work. as long as you’re available for 2-3hours per day. So we can chat if needed.
What I expect myself to do is:
– Give you support and feedback to work your best.
– Help you if you get stuck on something.
– To be a long-term working relationship. I want a permanent employee
– Pay you fortnightly for hours worked
For work in the office we use
– WHMCS for client and project management (Although im looking in moving project management systems)
– Web work is completed in the office server (you can VPN into). Which is a linux box with WHM/cPanel on it. But if you prefer to work locally and upload at the end of the day that is completely fine
– Dropbox for File management
– GSuite for email (used to be for file management but didn’t like it so we switched)
– PHPstorm for Development
