**Job Description:**
As a Professional Video Colorist, you will be responsible for enhancing the visual appeal of video content by applying color correction, grading, and visual effects using DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro. Your role is crucial in bringing creative vision to life, ensuring that the final product meets or exceeds client expectations.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Color Correction and Grading:**
– Apply color correction techniques to balance and enhance the color and tone of video footage.
– Create and refine color grading to achieve the desired look and mood of the video.
2. **Visual Effects and Enhancement:**
– Utilize software tools to add visual effects, motion graphics, and special effects as needed.
– Enhance video quality by addressing issues such as noise reduction and sharpening.
3. **Collaboration:**
– Collaborate closely with directors, cinematographers, and post-production teams to understand the creative vision and goals for each project.
– Incorporate feedback and revisions to achieve the desired visual style.
4. **Software Proficiency:**
– Demonstrate expertise in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro for color correction, grading, and video editing.
– Stay updated on the latest software features and industry trends.
5. **Technical Quality Control:**
– Ensure that the final video output meets technical specifications and quality standards for various platforms and delivery formats.
6. **Color Management:**
– Maintain color consistency across multiple shots and scenes.
– Manage color profiles and deliverables for different devices and platforms.
7. **Workflow Optimization:**
– Develop efficient workflows for color grading and finishing processes.
– Collaborate with post-production teams to streamline the post-production pipeline.
**Qualifications:**
– Proven experience as a Video Colorist with a portfolio showcasing your work.
– Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro for color correction and grading.
– Strong understanding of color theory, visual aesthetics, and storytelling through color.
– Knowledge of video codecs, formats, and post-production workflows.
– Excellent attention to detail and a critical eye for visual quality.
– Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with creative teams.
– Familiarity with industry-standard hardware, color grading panels, and calibration tools is a plus.
– A bachelor’s degree in Film, Video Production, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
