Are you an accountant with an interest in e-commerce? Do you enjoy routine process, preparing monthly close financials, reconciling bank statements, and pulling in sales from various marketplaces to build great financial statements? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are seeking a half-time, talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. Candidates are required to have at least 3 years experience in accounting and at least 2 years of e-commerce work. Candidate also must be an expert in Xero.
Who We Are:
Litcessory is a US-based e-commerce company that’s been in operations for 9 years. We are currently selling on over 15 different Amazon marketplaces and various others as well (such as Walmart, Shopify, Ebay).
Responsibilities:
• Maintain chart of accounts and financial statements in Xero.
• Accurately record tracking categories to allow for reliable management reporting
• Track inventory sales and COGS on a SKU level basis.
• File monthly sales tax and VAT returns timely and accurately.
• Reconcile inventory against 3rd party reports and understand reasons for variances.
• Import and reconcile bank transactions and statements.
• Raise and ensure bills are paid on time.
• Maintain an on-time monthly close calendar.
• Prepare year-end financials and coordinate with the tax preparer.
• Concise chart of accounts with meaningful account groupings.
• Year end financials to tax preparer by March 1st.
• Process improvements or other integrations.
• Vendors paid timely, ensuring bills are validated.
• Sales are captured and collected in full on time.

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or certification in accounting or related field.
• Proven accountant with at least 3 years of experience.
• At least 2 years of specific e-commerce related accounting.
• Available 20 hours a week with some Eastern Time (ET) availability.
• Expert in Xero
• Video/mic for calls
