Are you an bookkeeper with an interest in e-commerce? Do you enjoy routine processes, preparing monthly close financials, reconciling bank statements, and pulling in sales from various marketplaces to build great financial statements? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are seeking a full-time, talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. Candidates are required to have at least 3 years experience in accounting and at least 2 years of e-commerce work. Candidate also must be an expert in Xero.

We are a US-based e-commerce company that’s been in operations for 10 years. Our flagship brand, Litcessory, offers a range of products designed to enhance and extend the capabilities of Philips Hue lighting systems.
While based in the US, we have a diverse team of workers across the globe. Majority of our sales are on Amazon, where we have established a strong presence across multiple markets. Our reach extends to the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Europe (DE, FR, NL, IT, SE, ES, PL, and UK) . In addition to Amazon, we actively sell our products on other leading e-commerce platforms, including Walmart, Shopify, Etsy, eBay and Home Depot.

Responsibilities:
Establish, document, and implement accounting company processes within ClickUp, including tasks for importing sales, paying employees, tracking sales, etc.
Confidently maintain chart of accounts and financial statements in Xero independently.
Track inventory sales and COGS on a SKU level basis using Xero’s inventory system.
Reconcile inventory against 3rd party reports and understand reasons for variances.
Ensure bills are raised and paid on time, validating all vendor payments.
Accurately record tracking categories for reliable management reporting.
Timely and accurately file monthly sales tax and VAT returns.
Import and reconcile bank transactions and statements.
Maintain an on-time monthly close calendar and prepare year-end financials in coordination with the tax preparer.
Review financial results and advise management on areas of improvement.
Manage cash flow reporting and payroll.
Engage in process improvements and other integrations with Xero.

Requirements:
Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
Experience: At least 3 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on e-commerce accounting. Experience with Amazon marketplace is a plus.
Software Proficiency: Expert level proficiency in Xero and Excel/Google Sheets.
Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with US and EU accounting regulations and filings.
Independence and Problem Solving: Ability to work independently with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Eagerness to Learn and Adapt: Must be eager to learn, adapt, and grow with our constantly evolving company.
Data Manipulation Skills: Comfortable with manual data manipulation for importing into Xero.
Exclusivity: This is a full-time position requiring exclusive commitment to our company.
Availability: Must be available to work 40 hours a week. 6AM – 3PM Eastern Time. Monday- Friday.
Communication Tools: Requires high-quality video and microphone for virtual meetings.
Adaptability in Process Documentation: Adept at creating, documenting, and implementing accounting processes. ClickUp experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Preferred:
CPA certification is preferred but not required.
