Job Description

???? Make a Difference with Me! ????

I’m looking for a committed and thorough Virtual Assistant to join me directly as my personal assistant/GVA and help me fulfill my mission. What’s my mission? In short, to love God, love people, and to help them taste and know God’s glories for themselves. I do this mainly by telling my story (I can tell you sometime – I had a freak accident at age 18 that has thrown the course of my life off-track in some beautiful ways). I also do this by helping people flourish in business, friendships, and the way we see the world. That could be hosting a dinner party with really good food, sitting with a friend and hearing their struggles, posting an educational YouTube video to my publishing channel, and a whole lot more.

Now that you know why I’m alive, let’s talk about expectations.

This is a very part-time role at the moment with potential to grow into more steady and possibly full time work as my business grows. For now, however, I expect you will mostly help with miscellaneous detail-oriented tasks. Some will be for my business (I run a small publishing company! We make puzzle books for adults and seniors to keep their minds sharp and help them feel less lonely). Some of your tasks will be for my personal needs. Some of the tasks you may need to do are: file organization, research, email cleanup, light bookkeeping, form development, and more.

“I align with your vision! Now what practical skills and traits do I need to have?” Here’s what I’m looking for:

???? Clear Communicator: You’re a pro at communicating clearly and concisely, ensuring that messages are easily understood and delivered with a friendly touch.

???? Autonomous Worker: I value autonomy and trust in my team members. If you’re someone who can take a task and run with it, while still keeping me in the loop, you’ll fit right in!

???? Flexible Schedule: Our workload can vary from week to week, so flexibility is key. Some weeks may be quiet (0-3 hours), while others may be jam-packed with tasks (10+ hours). Right now I don’t see it being more than 10 hours a week, but there is room to potentially be full time as the business grows and I need more help. Are you flexible and up for the challenge?

???? Passionate Learner: I’m all about growth and learning. Whether it’s diving into new projects, exploring new skills, or tackling challenges head-on, I’m looking for someone who’s eager to learn and
grow with me.

???? Heart for Helping: At the core of everything we do is a desire to help others flourish. If you’re someone who loves lifting others up, whether it’s through business advice, friendship, or inspiring stories, we’ll be natural fit!

So you understand who I am a bit more, my hobbies include reading, writing poetry, writing and performing songs (I love jazz and am in an indie-rock band!), hosting dinner parties, working out, learning Spanish, and trying new recipes from different cultures.

Yes, chronic pain may be part of my story, but it’s not what defines me. A large reason I need GVA help is because of my health – I need someone to help take care of details so I can rest more. Much of my day is spent on pain management, and I often have to work more than my body should.

Does this sound like your kind of role? If you’re ready to join me in making a difference and having a blast doing it, I want to hear from you! Drop me a message with your resume and let’s chat. Looking forward to talking!??If you read this far, please use the phrase “Pancakes for Dinner” as the title of your application. It will help me see who is actually interested and committed.

Thank you!
