Family Law Paralegal Responsibilities:
Meet and communicate with clients and other parties to provide updates, gather information, and answer basic questions about a client’s matter status.
Draft and review legal documents, including correspondence, subpoenas, discovery requests, and responses.
Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes.
Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Record and store client information.
Help attorneys prepare cases for hearings and coordinate scheduling.
Maintain and organize files, perform data entry, and assemble legal packets and binders.
Administer overall support to the attorneys’ business needs.
Conduct research to support legal proceedings.
Manage client matters utilizing CRM software.
Family Law Paralegal Qualifications:
Three years minimum experience as a Paralegal – Family Law experience is preferred and civil litigation experience is required.
Paralegal certification from a reputable and accredited Paralegal or Legal Studies program is desirable, but not required.
Mastery background in conducting and analyzing legal research.
Demonstrative exemplary customer service skills.
Proven proficiency in managing multiple priorities.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Deadline-driven with a detail-oriented mindset.
CRM knowledge & background in electronic document management systems.
Computer literacy & the capability to self-teach new technologies.
Ability to perform autonomously & self-manage workload.
