We specialize in genre fiction, drawing inspiration from celebrated narratives like A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, and The Hunger Games. Currently, we are seeking a talented Korean-English Fiction Translation Editor to join our ranks.

Job Description:
As a Korean-English Fiction Translation Editor, you will play a critical role in transforming Korean literary works into engaging English narratives. This remote position offers flexibility and demands a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for literature.

Responsibilities:
-Thoroughly review translated drafts for unnatural grammar, context errors, and continuity issues, and report these findings.
-Enhance the translation quality by editing, correcting, paraphrasing, and restructuring to ensure fluidity and coherence in the English rendition.
-Fix grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors.
-Revise unclear or awkwardly constructed sentences.
-Ensure that the text maintains consistent use of terminologies, proper names, style, and tenses.
-Adapt any culturally specific references or idioms so that they would appeal and make more sense to Western audiences without altering the original meaning or tone.
-Edit and format the text according to traditional publishing standards used on Amazon.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Native English proficiency.
-Exceptional writing and editing skills.
-Availability to work at least 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Proven ability to detect and correct translation errors, including the naturalization of the language.
-A degree in English, Literature, or a related field, with a solid understanding of both English and world literature.
-An avid reader with extensive knowledge of various English fiction genres ranging from literary classics to Asian light novels.
-Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.)
-A team player who openly communicates with our members.
