Filipino Japanese Translator/Teacher (Remote)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proficient Filipino Japanese Translator/Teacher to join our Australian AI tech startup (Click to view/remoatteams) on a remote basis. As an independent contractor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing language capabilities, focusing on Japanese language proficiency at N1 level, and delivering high-level English language education. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal communication skills, be extremely articulate, and possess the ability to teach effectively in a remote setting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Japanese Language Instruction:
– Provide comprehensive Japanese language instruction, targeting N1 proficiency level.
– Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons, adapting to the individual learning styles of participants.
– Create and utilize appropriate teaching materials, ensuring relevance and quality.

2. English Language Instruction:
– Conduct English language classes at a high level, fostering a strong command of the language among participants.
– Design and implement lessons that cater to different language proficiency levels.

3. Verbal Communication Skills:
– Demonstrate exceptional eloquence and articulation in verbal communication during lessons.
– Facilitate effective communication by providing constructive feedback and encouraging interactive discussions.

4. Remote Work Environment:
– Adhere to a remote work setup, effectively managing and organizing online teaching sessions.
– Utilize virtual collaboration tools to engage with students and create an interactive learning environment.

5. Schedule and Work Hours:
– Commit to a part-time schedule of 2 hours per day, amounting to a total of 40 hours per month.
– Flexibility to accommodate different time zones and schedules for effective teaching.

6. Compensation:
– Compensation will be set at a rate of 150-200 PHP per hour, in accordance with the level of expertise and experience.
– Payment will be made on a monthly basis, following the completion of the agreed-upon hours.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. N1 Level Proficiency:
– Possess a recognized N1 level certification in Japanese proficiency. Submission of certification is a requirement for consideration.

2. Bilingual Proficiency:
– Proficiency in both Japanese (N1 level) and English (high level) is essential.

3. Teaching Experience:
– Proven experience as a language tutor/teacher, preferably in a remote setting.

4. Communication Skills:
– Exceptional verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate concepts clearly and concisely.

5. Adaptability:
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

6. Technological Proficiency:
– Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools and platforms for effective remote teaching.
