We are searching for a Finance Assistant to accurately & consistently coordinate our company’s financial data, ensuring all deadlines are met to enable constant monitoring of overall company performance.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours.

Your key responsibilities will include;

– Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers and ensure timely payments and collections
– Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records on a regular basis
– Prepare financial reports and statements for management, including monthly financial statements and ad hoc reports
– Assist with end-of-the-month and year-end reporting
– Process expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
– Assist with other financial tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager
– Work within a Finance team to achieve both internal and external benchmarks

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following;
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
– 3+ years of experience working in a finance or accounting related role
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
– Experience using MYOB highly desirable
– Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
– Ability to plan assigned tasks and prioritise effectively
– Top-notch attention to detail accuracy – this is super important to us and something that we will test to make sure you bring extra value to our team!
– Proven high-level communication skills including speaking fluent English, writing professional emails, and responding to customers promptly
– A team player who can work independently and also as part of a small team (we have other team members working offsite/remote so expect to use video conferencing on a daily basis)
– Is reliable, punctual, and reliable. Yes, we repeated ‘reliable’ because if we can’t count on you, then that will count you out
