We are seeking a Finance Associate to enhance our team, offering an opportunity to work closely with our founder and managing partner in delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Role Summary:
The Finance Associate plays a pivotal role in managing our debt-financing program for a web3 education technology accelerator. This entails underwriting over 100 companies within the next year, making crucial credit investment decisions, and providing ongoing support and monitoring for our portfolio companies. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with the managing partner to identify and capitalize on new M&A and investment opportunities.

This position is designed for individuals who are not only looking to grow with the company but are also proactive in identifying and pursuing potential opportunities and deals.

Successful candidates will have the chance to significantly impact the education sector, supporting companies that are revolutionizing education for millions of students worldwide, in both developed and developing countries. The work we do directly supports these companies, enabling them to deliver transformative educational technology.

This is a full-time role requiring a commitment to a full-time schedule and its associated responsibilities. The role primarily operates within the Asian time zone (GMT+8). Candidates must be prepared to adjust their working hours to align with this schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full lifecycle of investment opportunities, including sourcing, due diligence, closing, and post-closing activities.
• Develop and refine financial models for informed decision-making.
• Manage data rooms, prepare legal documentation, and ensure CRM and calendar management are up to date.
• Analyze meeting notes and recordings to extract insights.
• Prepare investment memos, conduct market research for M&A deals, and develop pitch decks.
• Maintain communication and manage relationships with target and portfolio companies.
• Oversee loan monitoring, portfolio management, and return calculations.
• Design and implement scalable, automated processes.

Requirements:
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and revenue-based financing.
• Solid experience in credit assessment and portfolio management.
• Proficiency in creating detailed investment memos.
• Familiarity with technology tools and processes such as Notion, Airtable, and Figma.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
• A growth mindset, openness to feedback, and a strong desire for continuous learning.
• Investment-banking level proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:
• A CFA designation is highly preferred.
• 2+ years experience in lending, credit assessment, and specifically in revenue-based financing.

Application Process:
Interested candidates should submit their CV and a 3-minute screening video covering the following aspects with suggested timings:

• Experience Highlight (120 Seconds): Detail a significant project or task about one of your or financial modeling and analysis skills and tell us how this is relevant to the job description.
• Motivation (30 Seconds): Explain your interest in this role and motivation for joining our team.

Video Submission Guidelines:

• Total Video Length: Maximum duration of 3 minutes.
• Content should be outlined naturally, avoiding a scripted delivery.
• Submit in simple video formats, ensuring good lighting and clear audio through platforms like Loom, YouTube, or Vimeo. High production value is not required, but authenticity is crucial.

What We Offer:
• A remote, flexible work environment conducive to growth and professional development.
• A collaborative and innovative team culture.
• Competitive compensation and benefits package.

We are dedicated to building a diverse workplace and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, particularly those who meet our preferred qualifications. We look forward to your application and getting to know you through your video submission.
