Position Title : Finance Controller

Supervises : Finance Specialist
Role Objective
You will play a critical role in developing and implementing financial strategies to ensure
the organization’s financial health. You will oversee the company’s financial operations, including accounting, financial analysis, and budget forecasting. The ideal candidate will have excellent financial management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement effective financial strategies and plans that align with the company’s business objectives.
2. Oversee accounting operations from full cycle accounts payable including invoice verifications, data entry, accounts receivable including invoicing, collections and reconciliations, payroll, to ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
3. Conduct regular financial analysis, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal regulations, and company policies and procedures.
5. Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors and financial institutions.
6. Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable insights into financial trends and projections.
7. Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
8. Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions.
9. Monitor and analyze aged receivables, proactively taking steps to minimize outstanding balances.
10. Prepare financial reports and statements related to accounts payable and receivables for management review.
11. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices, implementing changes as necessary to ensure compliance and optimize processes.
Job Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred and CPA is a must.
– Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial management role in the real estate industry.
– Knowledgeable and proficient in Xero accounting software
– Excellent knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
– Demonstrated experience managing teams and building effective relationships with cross-functional teams.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide financial and strategic recommendations to senior management.
– Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
