We are launching a YouTube channel focused on delivering exceptional finance content that stands out from the conventional “how to make money” narratives. This role is perfect for someone who is deeply passionate about finance, enjoys keeping up with financial news, witty, and is excited to help build a unique brand from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
* Write engaging, informative, and detailed scripts for long-form Talking Head YouTube videos that resonate with and expand our audience. 4 videos/month. Stay up-to-date with the latest financial news and trends to incorporate the most viral-potential concepts. Brainstorm how to differentiate from current finance channels.
Requirements:
* Proven scriptwriting experience, writing for YouTube specifically.
* Good understanding on how to “hook” a viewer in the first few seconds
* A love for finance, the “how to make money” niche, etc is required. You will be the financial expert and should have a good grasp already about concepts and the industry. You actively already follow finance channels on Youtube.
* Able to know or learn George Blackman’s content creation strategies, including mini-payoffs and compelling hooks and outros, to maximize viewer retention and engagement. (/watch?v=S6Uq8cniC1Y&pp=ygUPZ2VvcmdlIGJsYWNrbWFu)
* Excellent storytelling, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an engaging way. (Emphasis on witty, funny, educational but entertaining writing!)
* Other than any meetings needed, your hours are flexible and will be mainly async.
Important Note:
* While AI tools can be utilized for parts of the preliminary research and as an aid, they should not contribute more than 5-10% to the scriptwriting process. We emphasize the importance of original, human-driven creativity in scriptwriting, as AI is not yet adept at capturing the nuanced, engaging content style we aim for.
