Who are you?

You are an experienced Accounting graduate, ideally CPA qualified, who is looking for a part-time contract work-from-home role with a dynamic, fast-paced company. You have excellent written and verbal English skills and will support our Philippine-based finance manager. You will have an excellent QuickBooks Online experience and a safe reliable work-from-home environment.
What is the Role?
The Finance Specialist is a part-time contract role that will support our Finance manager in general accounting support across all facets of our business. This is a fully work-from-home opportunity, and while the hours and days are flexible, you will need to be flexible to have hours cross over some of the USA West Coast hours.

Primary Role? ?and? ?Responsibilities?:
1. Manage accounting transactions, balance sheet, and profit & loss statements in Quickbooks (QBO). This may include additional reports like cash flows and monthly/yearly budget forecasts.
2. Regularly and timely reconcile cash book balance to bank statement balance. Clearing of all unreconciled receipts and disbursements of all bank and credit card accounts in QBO.
3. Timely record monthly closing journal entries, payroll, foreign exchange fluctuation impact, depreciation and amortization, necessary audit adjustments etc.
4. Responsible for timely recording and accurate payment and management of vendor payables.
5. Generate and send invoices to customers, clients, and other stakeholders, as applicable.
Assist in annual audit and tax return preparation and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
6. Other relevant duties assigned by direct manager.

Education & Experience:
– Bachelor’s Degree in accountancy as a minimum
– Relevant work experience in a fast-paced work environment, ideally support USA based businesses
– High proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
– Strong English written and verbal communication skills
– Certified QBO practitioner
– Experience in Xero is ideal but not essential
