About the role
We are looking for you, an experienced Financial Accountant to help us run accounting and financial reporting activities, and develop and manage financial systems and planning processes at Foundr Media.

Financial aspects of the role:

Lead the month-end financial close process
Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and any statutory accounts
Conduct all Tax reporting and manage compliance as required
Prepare and present the monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reports
Capture data and deliver financial process improvements across Foundr Magazine.
Maintain the chart of accounts
Prepare monthly cash flow statements and assist the Leadership Team with controlling expenditure and cash flow
Prepare weekly and monthly estimates
Lead the merchant settlements, accounts payable, accounts receivable processes, and payroll
Review and maintain all financial systems policies and procedures
Maintain and develop internal controls and processes to support financial activities

Data Analytics aspect of the role:

Analyse current and past financial data and identify financial performance trends
Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of financial reporting
Prepare the monthly Management report
Conduct internal audits and report inconsistencies to the Chief Financial Officer
Prepare financial reports and communicate information to key stakeholders
Suggest budgets and budgeting process improvements
Develop initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth
Support the Chief Financial Officer in defining and implementing strategies, plans, and tactics
Respond to financial queries

Key skills and qualifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
At least 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
An in-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
Extensive knowledge of accounting regulations
You are skilled at reporting and data analysis
