What are we looking for:
Our client, a US-based freight forwarding company, is in search of a dynamic and talented Financial Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper and accurate documentation and reporting of financial transactions.
Beyond your experience, we are also looking for someone who is professional and possesses impeccable English communication in written and verbal form.
This role is 100% remote work.
In this role, you will:
– Confirming rates were properly calculated and provided to new customers
– Ensuring that all assessorial and discounts are properly input into our system and match the negotiated contract terms with clients
– Run weekly margin reports to ensure new customers and total active customers are trending in a stable or positive trend
– Escalate all issues and negative trends to management during weekly finance calls and/or L10
– Run commission reports monthly and set a standard meeting with the CEO to review the accuracy/ make any manual changes
– Assume the point of contact for any questions from our Referral Sources with regard to their commission amount
– Provides financial information to management by updating, managing and analyzing all finance and business trend KPIs weekly and other analyses – create trends, projections and reports
– Creates easy-to-digest charts and graphs to visually represent data
– Actively work with our business partner (BF) to collect new reporting options to be analysed
– Documents financial transactions by entering account information – reviews with the outsourced accounting firm
– Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
– Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
– Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
– Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
About You:
Core qualifications:
– Profound knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop and Excel is a must
– Experience in Rock Solid Financials and Issue Track is a plus.
– At least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a business-services environment;
– Higher education in finance/accounting and/or economics
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Attention to detail and accuracy of work;
– Strong analytical skills
