Job Description

Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and analyze annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Monitor and assess financial performance against established targets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide insightful variance analysis and explanations to key stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and suggesting remedial actions.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Compile, analyze, and interpret financial data, generating comprehensive and accurate reports for management and other stakeholders.
Develop financial models to support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and decision-making processes.
Present financial insights and findings in a clear and concise manner, facilitating informed strategic discussions.
Investment Analysis:
Evaluate potential investment opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital projects, through thorough financial analysis and due diligence.
Assess the financial viability of projects, considering risk factors, potential returns, and alignment with organizational goals.
Cost Management:
Monitor and analyze cost trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending strategies to optimize expenses.
Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement cost control measures and track their effectiveness.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings, tax returns, and other financial documentation as required.
Market Research and Benchmarking:
Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to provide context for financial analysis.
Conduct benchmarking and peer analysis to assess the organization’s financial performance relative to industry standards.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, CMA, CPA) is a plus.
Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or related role, preferably in a corporate finance or financial consulting environment.
Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and using financial software/tools (e.g., Excel, financial databases).
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective presentation of financial insights and recommendations.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
