Financial Analyst (Contractor)

We are seeking an experienced financial analyst on an outsourced basis, working approximately 10-15 hours per week. The primary responsibilities of this role include financial modeling, company and industry analysis, research, PowerPoint presentations, and investment memo writing. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Modeling:
– Develop and maintain financial models for investment opportunities.
– Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, scenario analysis,
and sensitivity analysis.
– Perform valuation using various methods such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transactions analysis.

2. Company & Industry Analysis:
– Evaluate investment opportunities by conducting thorough company and
industry research.
– Assess industry attractiveness and identify key trends, opportunities, and risks.
– Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis findings.

3. Power Point Presentations:
– Create professional PowerPoint presentations with clear and concise visualizations.
– Ensure presentations are visually appealing and efficiently communicate key messages.

4. Investment Memo Writing:
– Prepare investment memos and investment decks with structured and
analytical content.
– Articulate investment thesis, risks, opportunities, and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.
– Demonstrate strong writing skills and attention to detail.

Skills and Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
– 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, or related roles.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and analysis.
– Strong PowerPoint skills with a good eye for aesthetics.
– Experience in writing investment memos or investment decks.
– Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
– Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
