Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The primary focus of this role is to assist in the creation and maintenance of budgets and proforma valuations, providing critical financial insights to support decision-making processes within the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, helping to ensure the company’s financial health and sustainability through accurate financial modeling and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

Budget Preparation: Develop and maintain comprehensive annual budgets for various departments and projects, working closely with department heads to gather necessary input and assumptions.

Financial Modeling: Create and maintain detailed financial models that project the company’s financial performance and position, taking into account historical data, current financial trends, and expected future conditions.

Proforma Valuations: Analyze investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, or expansion initiatives by conducting proforma valuations to assess potential returns and risks.

Variance Analysis: Regularly monitor budget-to-actual performance, identifying and explaining variances and recommending corrective actions where necessary.

Forecasting: Prepare short-term and long-term financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making, incorporating sensitivity analysis to assess potential scenarios.

Financial Reporting: Generate and distribute accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management and stakeholders.

Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, and provide actionable recommendations based on your analysis.

Cost Control: Work with department heads to develop cost control strategies, providing guidance on optimizing resource allocation and expenditure management.

Financial Presentations: Prepare and present financial information to internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating financial insights and recommendations.

Compliance: Ensure financial activities comply with relevant laws and regulations and assist with financial audits as needed.

Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve financial planning and analysis processes, implementing best practices and automation where possible.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant financial certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.

Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, particularly in budgeting, financial modeling, and proforma valuations.

Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, such as Microsoft Excel and financial software.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex financial data to diverse audiences.

Understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.

Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

High degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

Knowledge of industry-specific trends and financial performance metrics is a plus.
