We are looking for a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team and assist our bookkeeper and accountant in managing our financial operations.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations, support the bookkeeper and accountant, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
Support to Bookkeeper and Accountant:

Provide guidance and support to the bookkeeper in managing daily accounting tasks.
Review and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist the accountant in preparing month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Financial Reporting:

Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
Develop and maintain financial reporting systems and processes.
Internal Controls and Compliance:

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Assist in the preparation for audits and liaise with external auditors.
Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and report on variances.
Provide financial analysis to support strategic planning.
Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
Stay up-to-date with the latest financial and accounting regulations and best practices.
Provide training and support to finance team members as needed.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
High degree of professionalism and integrity.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
