Position Overview: Financial Modelling / Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) expert
As a Financial Modelling/FP&A Expert at Blox, you’ll be at the forefront of revolutionising financial planning and analysis.
You will take the lead on Pre-sales, Solutions and Service Delivery for our enterprise customers. You’ll be outgoing and confident, able to present to a large group with confidence and skill, A powerful and passionate communicator. We operate in the realms of financial modelling & FP&A, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative new FP&A applications for our solution library, create custom proof-of-concept demos for potential customers, and build robust financial models for our valued clients. Responsibilities:
>> Financial Modelling and Analysis:
Create intricate financial models to address diverse business scenarios and requirements.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique financial planning and analysis needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
>> Develop Example Financial Solutions:
Design user-friendly and interactive example models that showcase the capabilities of our platform.
Develop visually compelling dashboards to demonstrate the power of our financial modelling tools.
>> Proof of Concept Demos:
Partner with the sales team to gain insights into customer objectives and requirements.
Construct personalized proof of concept (POC) demos that effectively highlight our solutions’ value.
Present POC demos to potential customers, addressing inquiries and addressing concerns.
>> Client Engagement, Service Delivery & Support:
Collaborate closely with paying clients to comprehend their specific needs and business objectives.
Transform customer requirements into actionable financial models, delivering solutions that drive tangible results.
Provide expert guidance and support throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or science or maths-related field. OR equivalent work experience or professional qualification (e.g. CIMA etc)
-Proven track record (3+ years) in financial modelling, FP&A.
-Proficiency in financial modelling software (e.g., Excel, VBA).
-NICE TO HAVE – Proficiency with multi-dimensional financial planning software is a plus (Anaplan, IBM Cognos TM1, Jedox, Planful, Pigment, Oracle EPM) and reporting / data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
-Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate intricate financial concepts into clear insights.
-Excellent communication skills – strong written communication and exceptional verbal – Confident in giving demos to large groups of senior executives in English
-Customer-focused mindset, adept at understanding and addressing customer needs effectively.
-Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
