Job Description
As an experienced Fire Alarm Designer, you will be responsible for the planning and design of fire alarm systems for various types of buildings and projects. You will leverage your industry expertise to create compliant and effective fire alarm layout drawings, ensuring the highest level of fire safety in every design.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and design fire alarm system plans using AutoCAD or other designated software.
Coordinate with clients, engineers, and other trades to ensure proper integration of the fire alarm systems.
Review and interpret building codes, fire codes, and project specifications.
Produce detailed and accurate permit and construction drawings.
Stay current with the latest fire alarm technologies and code changes.
Provide technical support to clients and the installation team.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in fire alarm system design.
Proficient with AutoCAD and/or other design software specific to fire protection.
Thorough knowledge of NFPA codes, UL standards, and local fire codes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a remote setting.
CFPS, NICET II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
