First Draft Editor for Transcript Interviews

**Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented First Draft Editor to join our media production agency. The ideal candidate will possess excellent English comprehension skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to follow the context of a conversation and remove parts from the transcript that is distracting from the main point. crafting compelling written content from raw interview conversations. As a First Draft Copywriter, you will play a crucial role in shaping the narrative of the interviews. You will only be editing the text transcript and your goal is to make the transcript more coherent and engaging for the listener.

**Responsibilities:**

– Read text interview transcripts that center around business
– Identify the key themes, messages, and flow of the conversation.
– Edit and refine the transcript to remove unnecessary fluff, tangents, and repetitions.
– Clarify any ambiguous or unclear statements for improve readability and comprehension.
– Collaborate with producers and editors to maintain consistency and quality across episodes.
– Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

**Requirements:**

– Excellent English comprehension and writing skills.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while edit transcripts.
– Ability to working independently and make editorial decisions.
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Previous experience in transcription, copywriting, or editing is a plus.
– Familiarity with podcasting or audio production is desirable but not required.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills.
