Fly Tyer to Work from Home – No Experience Required

We are looking to hire a new fly tyer to work from home producing top quality fishing flies.
*Side note, if you are not familiar with the terms “fly tyer” or “fly tying” please visit Youtube to watch some basic videos that explain what it is and what it looks like.
We understand that many people reading this ad won’t have previous experience and that is ok.. All that is required is a willingness to learn. Initially we will work closely with you to identify fly patterns that are relatively easy to tie and produce.
We will source all of the tying materials and tools for you to allow you to get started at no additional cost to you.
In the past we have hired all types of people…young, older, male, female all that matters is your work ethic and willingness to learn and get better over time.
If you aren’t familiar with fly tying and think that it looks too difficult to learn we assure you it isn’t and like most things in life with practice and daily repetition many of the people we have hired in the past go on to be advanced if not expert fly tyers.
This job is best suited to creative type individuals that have an eye for detail, colors and overall aesthetic design, but you don’t have to be “artist” to succeed.
Fly patterns have very specific designs and steps in their creation, it’s very much like following a recipe. You will always be given a training video to watch and follow along with. It’s not a situation where you will be creating flies on your own…rather you will watch someone tie the fly, then you simply follow along.
You will be working from home and you will need a space in your home that you can dedicate to a fly tying desk. The area does not have to be a large area, just somewhere where your fly tying vice, tools and materials can be kept. *The area you work in must have good lighting.
We also require that you have a stable/fast internet connection we can keep in touch initially for general communication and teaching and we also check in via skype to discuss production schedules.
Initially the job tends to part time but it really depends on the individual and their current skill level. and there is the opportunity to go full time if you decide you like the work.
