Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Food Technologist to be part of our pioneer team. As a Food Technologist, you will work closely with our chef to develop menu items, establish relationships with suppliers, and play a crucial role in training kitchen staff. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the foundation of our start-up.

Responsibilities:

Menu Development:

Collaborate with the chef to create menu items that align with our brand and target audience.
Stay informed about food trends and market demands to ensure our menu remains competitive.

Supplier Management:
Identify and establish relationships with suppliers for high-quality ingredients, products, and kitchen equipment.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.

Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality control measures for all food products to meet industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular testing and analysis of ingredients to ensure consistency and quality.
Innovation and Research:
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in the food sector.
Work with the R&D team to explore and test new food concepts.

Team Collaboration:
Participate in cross-functional teams to contribute to the overall success of the start-up.
Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to integrate food products seamlessly.

Training Kitchen Staff:

Develop training programs for kitchen staff to ensure they are well-versed in the preparation of menu items and adhere to quality standards.
Conduct hands-on training sessions, guiding techniques, recipes, and safety protocols.
Continuously assess and update training materials to reflect industry best practices and company standards.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of recipe development, supplier contacts, and quality control measures.
Create and update documentation for standard operating procedures related to food technology.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in menu development and supplier management.
Understanding of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive in a start-up environment and contribute to the company’s growth.
