Job Title: FP&A Analyst

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Rate: Depends on experience

The Role: We are seeking an experienced FP&A (financial planning and analysis) analyst with strong business acumen, good communication skills, firm understanding of financial analysis, and good financial modeling skills.

Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models monthly that incorporate different business drivers that affect P&L elements.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify relevant business cause-effect variables .

Data Analysis: Executes data preparation work (i.e., tagging of non-financial data, cleanup of customer order/billing data, and similar exercises) and data analysis work for use in financial analysis

Visualizations: Create data visualizations using Excel or any BI visualization tool that best communicate the findings to non-finance stakeholders (e.g., CEO) and powerpoint deck preparations

Communication: Work closely with FP&A business partners and stakeholders to gather information, provide insights, and ensure effective financial communication. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for success in this role.

Industry Knowledge: Preferred candidates will have a background in subscription-based or recurring revenue-based business models. Understanding the nuances of these models is highly advantageous.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

Ability to work overlapping hours with the New York time zone (EST/EDT) with experience working with English speaking companies.

Approximately 2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.

Strong proficiency in financial modeling, financial analysis work, and in developing 3-statement financial models.

Experience with operational- and financial-forecasting processes.

Proven analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with finance business partners.

Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and adaptable to use any Accounting/ERP software.

Proficient in handling large data sets and data visualization techniques, a plus
