About Us:
We are a consulting firm providing management consulting services to home service companies. We manage a portfolio of a dozen clients and maintain full access to their QuickBooks Online accounts, with bookkeeping services ensuring up-to-date records. We are seeking a skilled Fractional Controller to develop monthly financial reporting and analysis to support our clients’ growth and operational efficiency.

Job Overview:
The Fractional Controller will be responsible for generating comprehensive monthly financial reports and developing a KPI dashboard for our home service clients. The role involves analyzing key financial metrics, preparing detailed reports, and providing actionable insights to help our clients make informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain monthly financial reporting packages for each client, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Analyze key financial metrics and trends, highlighting areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
Create and update a KPI dashboard that includes:
Revenue vs. Budget
Gross Margin
Customer Churn % of Revenue
Operating Expenses (OpEx)
Net Income
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
Days Payable Outstanding (DPO)
Non-Current Accounts Receivable (AR)
Cash
Current Ratio

Collaborate with the bookkeeping team to ensure accurate and timely financial data entry and reconciliation.

Prepare variance analysis reports to compare actual performance against budgeted expectations.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Provide financial insights and recommendations during monthly review meetings with clients.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a controller or similar role.
Experience working with QuickBooks Online.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.

Preferred Skills:
Experience working with home service companies.
Familiarity with financial reporting tools and software.
Knowledge of KPI development and monitoring.
