We are in search of a highly skilled Industrial Designer with a specialization in CMF (Color, Material, Finish) to join our team on a project basis. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the design and appeal of our products in the market.
Job Description:
As our CMF Industrial Designer, you will be instrumental in defining the look and feel of our kitchenware range. Your expertise in color, material, and finish will ensure our products are desirable, durable, and align with our brand ethos. Initially offered on a project basis, this role has the potential to evolve into a fixed monthly pay position, reflecting the growth and needs of our business.
Responsibilities:
– Develop CMF strategies that complement and enhance our kitchenware products, including food containers, wine glasses, and accessories.
– Research and analyze trends in the kitchenware industry to inform innovative CMF solutions.
– Collaborate with the design team to integrate CMF designs that enhance product usability and aesthetic appeal.
– Create compelling CMF palettes and mood boards for internal review and decision-making.
– Source sustainable and cost-effective materials that meet our quality and environmental standards.
– Ensure CMF designs are accurately implemented in production by working closely with manufacturers and providing clear specifications.
– Adjust CMF applications based on prototype reviews and feedback to meet our high standards of quality and design.
– Maintain a keen eye for detail and a creative approach to solving design challenges.
Requirements:
– Demonstrable experience in Industrial Design, with a portfolio highlighting CMF expertise, particularly in kitchenware or related products.
– Strong understanding of CMF principles and their impact on product design and user experience.
– Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
– Solid project management abilities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
– A passion for sustainability and innovation in design.
Compensation:
– This freelance, project-based role starts at $5/hour.
– Compensation and terms may be revisited for future projects or potential transition to a fixed monthly pay arrangement, based on performance and business needs.
