Project Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Freelance Video Editor to create a 5-8 minute marketing video focusing on a pivotal case handled by our criminal defense law firm. This video will be a docutainment style video highlighting a unique legal issue that led to the case’s dismissal of a criminal case.

The provided material will include: A summary of the provided material, an explanation of the legal issue at hand, court audio, body camera footage, supporting documentation, and a talking head video will be provided as required for the story. The editing style, text, choice of words, and music must resonate with our target audience—people living in the Southeastern United States.

Project Scope:

Editing and Post-Production: Collaborate with employer to understand the case’s nuances. Organize and edit provided courtroom footage, interviews, and legal analyses into a cohesive narrative. Your creative decisions should cater to United States Pop cultural and regional preferences of the Southeastern US audience.

Content Strategy: The video should convey complex legal strategies in an accessible manner, engaging potential clients by showcasing the law firm’s capabilities and achievements in using the law to get favorable results.

Visual and Audio Elements: Use Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite to incorporate graphics, animations, and visual effects. The music and overall tone should appeal to the Southeastern US demographic.

Qualifications:
*Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite.
*Strong storytelling skills, with experience in creating marketing or promotional content.
*Knowledgeable about the American Criminal Justice Legal System.
*Ability to process and distill large volumes of audio/video content efficiently.
*Previous experience in creating content for a specific regional audience, preferably the Southeastern United States, is a plus.

Payment Terms:
The project Will be paid in stages based upon your estimated hours.
50% down up front.
25% upon submission of complete rough draft
25% upon final approved submission

If you estimate 10 hours, then 5 x (hourly rate) will be paid up front. If your estimate is slightly off and we go over the hours we will adjust as needed.

This is a freelance, project-based role. Evaluation Criteria:
