Freelance Video Editor – Tabletop Roleplaying Game Company

Description:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our tabletop roleplaying game (RPG) company on a contract basis. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for crafting engaging and visually appealing content, including trailers, gameplay highlights, and promotional videos for our diverse range of RPG products.

Responsibilities:
1. Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, high-quality videos that align with our brand and storytelling.
2. Collaborate closely with the content creation team to understand the narrative and visual requirements for each project.
3. Incorporate visual effects, graphics, and animations to enhance the overall video production quality.
4. Ensure timely delivery of edited content within project deadlines.
5. Maintain an organized archive of project files for future reference.

Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing. Experience, understanding and samples with tabletop RPG-related work is a bonus but not required.
2. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
3. Ability to understand and follow creative briefs to bring the vision of each project to life.
4. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
5. Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Editing styles should be influenced by Ali Abdaal, Ed Lawrence from Filmbooth, and Hayden Hillier-Smith. Use of text, cuts, transitions, and appropriate SFX and motion graphics are required.

Contract Details:
