I’m a wedding photographer based in Ontario, Canada in search of a freelance virtual assistant to help with some tasks such as:
-sorting (culling) wedding images
-copying information from a questionnaire into a specified template
-creating photo slideshows for wedding clients
-image curation for blog posts and publishing blog posts (may advance to writing blog posts based on information provided to you)
-inputting information into my client management system.
-possibility of learning Pinterest strategies and handling that on my behalf (later down the line).
-possibility of learning SEO and handling website maintenance (later down the line).
*Training will be provided and paid for all these tasks.
What I am NOT looking for:
-if you are disorganized and have difficulty following deadlines or structure.
*DEADLINES ARE REALLY IMPORTANT FOR THIS JOB POSTING*
-If you are not strong in communicating in English.
-If you have an unreliable or unstable internet source
Please do not apply.
What I am looking for:
-Someone who is willing to learn and adapt, I find hard work and commitment to efficient performance more valuable than years of experience, as long as you are willing to learn along the way.
-Attention to detail.
-On-time, Dedicated, quick learner, loyal, organized, fluent in English (written/spoken).
-Communication between us regarding any issues you are having, tasks you love/dislike, and any way I can make this experience better for the both of us.
-basic photoshop experience is preferred, but not necessary – again room to grow in some aspects!
Every month is slightly different due to the nature of the wedding industry/season in Canada (cold winter months means less weddings – usually November – April). During this time I like to focus on help with admin tasks, blogging, and new training. Throughout the busy season it could be significantly more hours than the slower seasons.
Since I am hiring in the midst of busy season, I am focusing on training my new fire for culling images – that would be the priority of tasks. Average of 10-15+ hours a week during the summer months to start off, with room to assign more tasks early on depending on how you’re feeling about the culling tasks.
If you end up being a good fit, and show a high level of commitment I would love to see this position grow into a part – full time position as my business grows.
If this sounds like you, reply to the job post with your Skype ID and let me know if you have Photoshop, Lightroom, a strong internet connection – and an inspirational quote that makes you happy.
*Photoshop and Lightroom are not necessary, just good to know along with your application!
Job posting will be active until – July 5th, 2024
Qualified Candidates will be contacted by July 12th, 2024 at the latest for further instructions to move forward.
