We are a newly started subsidiary of one of the largest Logistics, Forwarding and Shipping consulting providers in Latin America and Australia. Due to demand, we have started Next-Gen, A new age Business Process Outsourcing center providing our clients with end to end shipping and freight forwarding operations management solutions. We are looking for Shipping Coordinators to join this new team and be part of the success story.
The role will be hybrid with 2 days work from home and 3 days from the office.
Your role
Within your role, you will be involved in end to end freight forwarding and logistics management using CargoWise (Must have Knowledge of CargoWise) as an ERP. We are ideally looking for someone who is able to work in an organized and efficient manner, with an ability to priorities and work within tight deadlines. You must have some experience within the logistics, freight forwarding or shipping industry and are keen to develop this expertise further. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for multiple tasks including but not limited to:
Data entry into the Cargowise system (job registering)
Arranging shipments and communicating with clients
Liaising with Shipping Lines, Airlines, overseas agents, Customs brokers and transport companies
Regularly keeping clients updated with their shipments
Invoicing
General administrative duties
Reports
Any other tasks delegated by your Manager
(On Job Training and refreshers will be provided)
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for the opportunity you will, desirably, have:
Freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain experience
Initiative, self-motivation and a ‘can do’ attitude
Computer literate (Cargowise1 experience highly regarded)
High level of attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to learn and be adaptable to changing processes
Demonstrated problem solving skills and good ability to work with numbers
