We are seeking a senior front-end developer to join our team in Manila to work on the development and maintenance of Pergamon, a Component Content Management System used for technical documentation. As a senior front-end developer for Pergamon, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the user interface for our web-based application. You will work closely with our core developer to implement new features, improve existing ones, and ensure that our users have a seamless experience. You will mainly focus on revamping our UI and proposing frameworks like React, , or Angular. The most important requirement is expertise in building a visual content editor that arranges and exports content to PDFs and creates websites. This is the most challenging aspect of the job, and we seek someone with prior experience in creating such editors. As a senior front-end developer, you will also take charge of mentoring and coaching junior developers who will be joining the team over time. You will conduct thorough code reviews and provide technical guidance and direction to the team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and maintain front-end web applications/
-Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to implement UI/UX designs, features, and functionality.
-Optimize front-end code for improved performance, scalability, and maintainability.
-Debug and troubleshoot front-end issues and bugs.
-Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development and make recommendations for incorporating new technologies and techniques to improve the user experience and streamline development processes.
-Continuously evaluate the suitability of the current frameworks for handling more challenging UI requirements and make recommendations for adopting new frameworks or approaches as needed.
-Work in an Agile development environment, participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, code reviews, and other Agile processes.
-Document code and processes for knowledge transfer and future maintenance.
-Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
-10+ years of experience in front-end development
-Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and JQuery.
-Experience with JQueryUI and Bootstrap frameworks. Experience with at least React or or Angular framework.
-Experience with REST APIs and integration with back-end systems
-Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
-Strong communication and collaboration skills
-Experience with Agile development methodologies
-Willing to work Onsite- (Ortigas, Pasig)
-Preferred qualifications (optional):
-Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
-Familiarity with CodeIgniter 3.1 framework
-Knowledge of Adobe InDesign
-Willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig City
