Job Description

Join a dynamic marketing agency focused on empowering plumbing and electrical businesses throughout Australia. Work alongside Tom and Sara to make a significant impact, helping our clients excel online as our full-time front-end developer.

Key Responsibilities:

– Development and Design Implementation: Convert designs from Figma to WordPress using Elementor, rebuild existing websites from other CMS/page builders in Elementor, and design and build “Service” pages for local businesses inspired by current website pages and other relevant websites.

– Efficiency and Optimization: Utilize “Elementor Templates” for efficient website building, construct pages using minimal sections to achieve the desired outcome, and ensure all pages are mobile-friendly.

– Content Management: Upload blog posts and pages submitted by the content team and select and integrate relevant images to complement website text.

– Image Optimization: Optimize images to the correct size to improve page speed.

– Maintenance: Update plugins regularly to ensure website functionality and security.

– Client Interaction: Liaise with clients when necessary to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with the work delivered.

Relevant Experience:

Prior experience of at least 3 years in a similar role focusing on front-end development. Candidates with a background in agency work or in-house departments are a must.

– Agency Experience: Proven experience in a digital marketing or SEO agency, ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines, and familiarity with collaborative tools and workflows.

– Attention to Detail: Ensure meticulous attention to detail in front-end development, including alignment, image sizing and quality, and mobile responsiveness, to maintain high accuracy and quality in every project.

– Excellent Command of English: Fluency in written and verbal English.

– Web Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with extensive experience in WordPress and Elementor.

– Design Skills: Ability to convert designs from Figma to functional web pages and experience in responsive and mobile-friendly design.

– SEO Knowledge: Understanding of on-page SEO best practices and experience optimizing website performance and page speed.

– Content Management: Experience managing and updating content on WordPress and ability to upload and format blog posts and pages effectively.

– Image Optimization: Skills in optimizing images for web to improve page load times.

– Website Maintenance: Experience updating WordPress plugins and themes and knowledge of website security best practices.

– Client Interaction: Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and experience gathering requirements and ensuring client satisfaction.

– Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve website issues and familiarity with debugging tools and techniques.

– Efficiency and Template Usage: Experience using Elementor Templates for efficient website building and ability to streamline page construction.

– UX/UI Design: Good eye for design and selecting relevant images with the ability to design user-friendly web pages.

– Bonus Requirements: Graphic design experience.
