Frontend Engineer

Ultra Labs is a U.S.-based business incubator/accelerator that focuses on software/tech-based businesses. We are currently seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions in a variety of sectors.

As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our web applications, specializing in creating engaging and responsive user interfaces.

Responsibilities:
– Design and implement scalable and efficient solutions using React JS
– Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
– Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for various devices.
– Work closely with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
– Participate in project planning sessions with project managers and team members to analyze business requirements
– Optimize application performance, considering factors such as rendering, network requests, and overall user experience.
– Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by users or identified during testing phases.
– Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in frontend development to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.

Qualifications:
– Excellent spoken and written English
– 3+ years of experience in frontend development with a focus on React JS
– Strong proficiency in React JS, JavaScript and TypeScript
– Experience with design collaboration tools, such as Figma
– Experience with state management libraries/frameworks (e.g., Redux)
– Understanding of build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, npm)
– Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
– Experience with testing frameworks and writing unit tests for frontend code
– Knowledge of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility
– Awareness of accessibility standards and best practices in frontend development
– Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently
– Excellent time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines
