Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a few years of bookkeeping experience, be adept at managing financial records, and possess excellent communication skills.
You will have the ability to do full-cycle bookkeeping, be capable of reading basic financial reports, and being able to recognize issues or anomalies.
You need to love puzzles and solving problems. Make sure you include “I love puzzles” somewhere in your application. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company and ensuring that our clients receive top-notch financial support.
You MUST have time available to work in the first 2 weeks of each month. We have 1 client that has extensive work that needs to be completed by the 10th. We can offer 20-25 hours per month to start, with lots of opportunity to grow if you want the hours, and if you prove yourself. We are constantly taking on more clients and need help to scale bigger.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records for the company and clients.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
Pull custom reporting and update Quickbooks accordingly from the reports
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
Assist with payroll processing according to Ontario pay standards.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with team members to resolve any issues or address feedback.
Qualifications – MUST include:
Proven bookkeeping experience, 3+ years. You will be tested.
Proficiency and experience in our software:
Quickbooks Online certified
Dext
Financial Cents
Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Jane App (for clients in the Health field)
Continuously improve accounting processes and systems, and look for ways to be more efficient while maintaining accuracy.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
