Project Overview:
We are looking for a talented and creative WordPress Developer to work on a contract basis for the development of two unique websites. This role is perfect for someone who combines the art of design with the science of programming, with an emphasis on crafting visually appealing sites that offer user-friendly design and clear navigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems, with a particular focus on WordPress.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy two WordPress websites, ensuring high performance and a strong focus on the user experience.
• Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with me to translate artistic visions into functional website designs.
• Ensure websites are optimized for search engines and meet accessibility standards.
• Implement responsive design to ensure websites are mobile-friendly.
• Perform website updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Optimize website speed and performance.
• Provide training to the client on managing the WordPress website.
• Ensure the final product adheres to the predefined scope and design specifications while suggesting improvements for better user experience.

Qualifications:
• Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing creative web development projects.
• Expertise in WordPress, including theme and plugin customization.
• Proficient understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with visual design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma) and their application in web development.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and ensuring sites are optimized for search engines.
• Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (e.g., Git) is a plus.
